Angelina Davis is a newly emerging artist who focuses on painting nature and her political views on thrifted clothes. Born in 2001 in Montgomery County Maryland, Davis had always enjoyed creating but it was not until her junior year of high school that she began to view art as a career path because of a teacher. This teacher introduced her to the option of art in the business world such as marketing and graphic design rather than the stereotypical “starving artist” concept. In 2022, Angelina Davis graduated from Germanna Community College and the following year she began studying Art and Visual Technology at George Mason University. However, while going through classes, Davis learned she preferred traditional art over digital work, especially painting. While out shopping for new clothes, she took a look around the mall and realized every store looked exactly the same and they all lacked ethical options. She may not have bought anything that day but her brand Rielle was born. She began using her old clothes that she had outgrown and fabric paint. From there she tabled at her University’s Artist Alley and now sells her clothes for commission and her free hand work here.
